Special Topics: Social and Political Upheaval in MENA

We are currently seeking submissions for a special issue, to be published online in January, focusing broadly on social and political issues in the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa. In particular, this issue will focus on the recent social upheavals that have spread through this part of the world and their impacts on stability in the region. Are we seeing shifts toward long-term democracy, or away from it? What do social movements spell out for the future in this part of the world?

Student Pulse wants to hear from you in this special section. Send all submissions through the ‘Submissions’ tab on the website and indicate your interest in the special issue in the comments! Submissions are accepted from both undergraduate and graduate students, should be between 2,000 and 8,000 words, and must be received by December 15th to be considered.
