We consider a multiproduct monopolist&#39;s product line and pricing decisions under the explicit assumption of two status externalities. The firm sells a low-end product and a high-end product to two segmented consumer groups. Whilst the sales of the high-end product increase the demand for the low-end product, the sales of the low-end product decrease the demand for the high-end product.
