				<title>Policy and Place in International Economic Coercion</title>

				<description>By Cullen  Moran - This paper investigates factors that contribute to the effectiveness of international economic sanctions. A review of existing literature on sanctions reveals that scholars of economic statecraft have largely neglected to consider two variables &amp;ndash; the policy goals of the sender and the place where sanctions are implemented &amp;ndash; in their analyses of sanctions success. This study uses multiple analyses of variance to establish that policy and place do account for a degree of variation in the success rate of sanctions.
