				<description>By Maria  Lemler - The Center for Disease Control and Prevention defines Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as pervasive developmental disabilities in which individuals have language impairment, social impairment and stereotyped behaviors. At this time there are no required assessments for a diagnosis. Diagnosis is often made with almost exclusive reliance on parent report of symptoms.
